Have you ever been to Muskoka Living Interiors? It is worth the two and a half hour drive up to Port Carling just to see this place. It is simply magical and the most beautiful interiors store I have ever visited. This wonderful place is famous for it’s spectacular cottage furniture. They have absolutely everything you need to transform your cottage into a design haven. They have an incredible team of friendly and talented in-house designers who will be happy to help with any design project.

Let’s start with their beds. OMG. Would you ever get out of this? The simple pastels and subtle pattern of the throw pillows create interest and yet there is still a light and breezy feel. The bush pink headboard is definitely a bit of a risk but because of the nude undertone it could be treated as a neutral which would go with anything.

They just do beds so well at Muskoka Living Interiors. I mean look at the layering that is going on here. This is the way to do white on white. Multiple materials and textures create so much depth. This is a great balance of coziness and luxury which can be achieved in any home on any budget.

So I need to be real for a second, the prices at Muskoka Living are not exactly budget friendly. However it is the place to go if you are looking for a critical investment piece which will bring your space to a whole new level. This dining table would quickly become the hub of the cottage. Look at the way they have presented and accessorized it. One of my favourite things about this store is how they present things and the endless ideas you will get just from one visit. Will I have giant vases on my table at my next gathering? You bet πŸ™‚

Every single lamp in this interiors store is a statement piece which could work in a multitude of spaces. If you are not in the market for a larger investment piece you could really have fun with the accessories. This store is where accent pillow junkies like myself die and go to heaven. From wool throws, to vases, to candles, soaps and kitchenware. You can treat yourself to a smaller item which will still be very special and have that style impact you are after.

Not everything at Muskoka Living is white or neutral. They have fabulous accent pieces like these candy floss pink chairs. Once again everything has been layered. The warmth is created by placing these chairs on a rug, adding large patterned cushions, a fluffy throw and these adorable ottoman/poufs. P.S. They add these poufs EVERYWHERE for extra texture and interest. Beside the bed, at the coffee table, beside a sofa or of course at the bottom of an accent chair as they have done here. All of this layering creates a sense of warmth, comfort and that stay-a-while feeling.

So I did score myself some beautiful clay mugs and sturdy honeycomb glasses and a few little gifts for friends who would appreciate a little something from this magical place.

Be sure to check out their website where you can see some their stunning past projects. You will also discover that their range of furniture is endless. Their exceptional outdoor furniture pieces are truly worth the investment if you are ever in the market.

Next year I’ll be back for a dining table, some incredible light fixtures and one of those heavenly and ridiculously comfy couches. I’m off to sell some houses in order to afford all these goodies!
